The Beth Imhoff Case

Dear First Baptist Church Family,

As you know, on July 10th the FBC Trustee Board filed a criminal complaint against me.  I am happy to say that after a thorough investigation the FLPD found no wrongdoing on my part.  As a result, I am FINALLY able to end my silence!

This has been one of the saddest and most difficult things I’ve ever experienced. It has been heart-breaking to have people who I respected and trusted take this action.  The hardest part is that they have not been truthful.

Thank you to each of you who have sent me encouraging texts, emails & phone messages.  Your encouragement has helped sustain me throughout this process.

A special THANK YOU to the 210 members of FBC who sent a resolution to the FLPD on my behalf.  It was an important part of the process for the detective to understand that we are a congregational-governed church and that 210 members of the congregation were opposed to the actions taken against me.  I LOVE YOU and THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart.

Yesterday I wrote a letter to the Trustees.  I have attached the letter to this email.  I hope that it will clarify any questions you might have in what actually transpired.  Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or need any clarification.
